don't have any promotion for informatics student???
don't consider stage location. I think that location isn't fine for playing water under so high daylight. I more prefer between Blk A and Blk B at there have alote of tree. Are u surely to support water all days????
if not can't call water festival
can perform the whole day 10AM-7PM?
i don't think so... almost myanmar band can't do... they will start lately and ever do wast time

First of all, sorry to say that there is no special promotion for informatics students. But, as a main sponsor, informatics will be given a few special passes. And, if you are one of the performer, you will entitle to have free ticket.
Rgd with location, we do appreciate your advise. we chose that location after much discussion. it is to allocate a large number of people. There are many other factors we need to consider. You can dont play water on that field if you dont want to. There will be a few locations that we provide water. And we can confirm that water will be provided almost whole day, except for 1, 2 hours in the afternoon. (You can't compare it with Myanmar. Even in Myanmar, it is not provided whole day, they stop a while in the afternoon). It will have definately more water, more fun and better than any other water festival done in Singapore or outside Myanmar. You could know that if you've been here for 5 - 10 years.
Yes, performance are whole day. 10am is open gate, opening celebration is at 11am. It will be untill ard 7pm. During Day 2, Live Band will be at least 5 - 6 hours, start from early afternoon till evening. We still have some performance such as Thingyan Dance, Cheers (Than Chat), hip hop dance, etc., in the morning.
Have you ever been to any Thingyan outside Myanmar. There is no Thingyan festival without local bands. And, if you've been in Singapore for quite some time and been to other Thingyan celebration before, you should know that they are good players. Some of them are even playing in local Singapore bands. And, think about it. Do you think people will watch all the dances the whole day? Will you sit and watch all the Thingyan Dance the whole day? And, can you help us to find enough Thingyan dance groups in Singapore for whole day?
If you think the management team is shit, dont just give comments. You are welcome to give solution or organize one yourself. The management team has been organizing not only myanmar events/shows in SG but also other events in SG and Myanmar.

Although there is no perfect world, we will try our best shoot. Along the way of ThingyanFest bands experience over 2000-2005 on Polys ground, i can say this one could be huge. Normally, band guys are very egoist, choosy and fuzzy type but we're now working out with this organizing group. Ticket fair, ok skip two beer and save 10 buck out, i will treat and let's get our a$$ wet on that day!!
